For example, as your Doula, during delivery, we will be in close and constant proximity to each other (Doula and expantant mom). I have the ability to provide comfort with pain-relief techniques including but not limited to breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, massage, and laboring positions. If you desire, we will also encourage participation from the partner and offer reassurance through out the delivery.

You can trust in my skills and ability to create the most positive ideal birth environment You will appreciate my guidance for your needs for comfortable furnishings, accessability to shower or ensuite, space for movement as well as control of the lighting, room temperature, noise, clean surroundings and privacy. 

As your Doula, I provide physical, emotional, informational, and advocacy support  to you throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period; as well as - following as closely as possible-to your birth plan for you and your designated support team. This is where all of our preparation, communication, and team effort becomes the real life birth event.

Making the transition after baby arrives is so very important. We will plan ahead and determine the level of care you wish to have during your pregnancy as well as the all important  postpartum timeframe. Something as simple as time for a nap, a shower, to get out of the house, go for a walk or have me run the errands for you. You can have that built into your plan or you can add that as an ala carte service. Let's discuss all of these options.

As your Doula, I am here for your questions. Most of us think of what we wanted to ask, after the meeting, after the phone call.
